What should I expect during my first session?

Our offices are located in a home setting, providing a comfortable and less stressful environment for our clients. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be asked to provide some general information on an intake form. During the 90-minute initial session, the therapist will ask you to provide background information and will encourage you to ask any questions you may have. At the end of the session, the therapist will discuss the initial plan for therapy and will schedule another appointment.

Do you do testing for ADHD, learning disabilities, and giftedness?

Our psychological evaluations are individualized for each client and can thoroughly assess a variety of different issues that may be present. We provide evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional difficulties, and career assessment.

How much will testing cost?

Psychological testing involves administration, scoring, and interpretation of tests; it also requires the psychologist to prepare a written report and meet with parents to review the results. The cost for a full battery is $850 and a half battery is $450. A 45-minute feedback session is included in this fee. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

What should I expect after testing?

Once the testing is completed, a feedback session will be scheduled within approximately 2-3 weeks. During the 45-minute feedback session, the psychologist will review the testing results, discuss recommendations, and answer any questions you may have. A written report is provided at this time that provides a summary of the assessment and recommendations. If you would like us to send the report to another professional or school personnel, we will ask that you sign a release of information form.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

We understand that things may come up and you may be unable to keep your appointment. If you need to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment, please call our office at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. Cancellations received with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.
