Child, Adolescent & Family Psychotherapy
Children and adolescents sometimes experience emotional and behavioral difficulties within their families. L & K therapists’ help children learn to assume personal responsibility for their behavior, develop empathy and compassion for others, and appreciate the loving guidance of their parents. We share family-friendly strategies for helping children, adolescents, and their parents to become more harmonious in their family interactions.
Adult & Marital Counseling
Individuals and couples sometimes find themselves experiencing emotional discomfort within themselves or in their relationships with others. Directive and supportive counseling, within Judeo-Christian parameters, facilitates individuals and couples in making healthy, loving decisions that foster personal, relational, and spiritual growth.

Psychological evaluations are helpful. In providing pertinent information about a person’s intelligence, personality traits, emotional functioning, cognitive processes, and academic achievement levels. L & K offers a full range of psychological, personality projectives, and psycho-educational tests with written summaries of each, and specific recommendations.

For students who are not achieving the academic successes they are capable of, L & K counselors can be of assistance. It is our belief that ALL students with average ability are capable of receiving A’s and B’s in every subject when they choose to learn to concentrate, organize, and to work hard. Individual Counseling, Psychological Assessments, Educational Testing, Cognitive Enhancement Training, Therapeutic Tutoring, and our School Liaison Services are all designed to work with parents in teaching their children the art and thrill of learning. We regularly coordinate with the child’s school (including IEP planning), physician, and any other professionals that may be working with the child.” Click For More Information About Our Underachiever Program

Drug and Alcohol Assessments
Managing Anger
A program designed to assist the client in beginning the journey to controlling their anger. In six sessions they will: One: assess the extent to which anger controls their life, Two: identify who and what triggers their anger, Three: learn the banned behaviors that must be eliminated, Four: identify the banned behaviors that create the most problems for them personally, Five: learn valuable replacement behaviors that will turn their life around, Six: examine the addictive nature of anger and its destructiveness to their relationships and potentially to their career. A genuine desire to learn about the destructive nature of anger and a commitment to change the potential for that destructiveness are recommended.
